#20 You Too Can YouTube
I tube, you tube, we all tube! Hee Hee. I had a lot of fun viewing "Banned Books Week" videos in YouTube last year when preparing for our first teen YouTube video contest. My favorite video was and still is
As is, other than the equipment possibly being cost prohibitive, I really can't say too many negative things about YouTube since it's free and a great way to use creative and critical thinking to express ideas. It's also highly accesible and fun to boot. However, one challenge that we did have until recently was the lack of a video camera. In the past, we have been able to borrow a camera to record programs and events. (Thanks Alisha!) However, we couldn't transfer the video to a format that we could use because the camera was older and we didn't have the right software to make it all happen. Still, now that we have a camera and a staff with the know-how, we are going to start cranking on developing and creating videos, podcasts, and the like.
